About me

As a mental health professional, couples and family therapist, and ADHD consultant, I support individuals, couples, and families experiencing relationship difficulties, family challenges, and demanding life transitions.

My work is grounded in a systemic approach, which means that I seek to understand difficulties not in isolation, but within the interaction between individual functioning, relationship patterns, and the wider family system.

In my work with couples, I primarily support clients facing recurring conflicts, communication difficulties, emotional disconnection, loss of trust, and relationship crises. Rather than focusing on blame, I help couples explore the processes and patterns within their relationship and identify possibilities for meaningful change.

When working with families and parents, I focus on understanding relationship dynamics, the family’s current life situation, and its existing strengths and resources, with particular attention to parent–child relationship difficulties and transitions throughout the family life cycle.

One of my key professional areas is ADHD and neurodivergence. In addition to individual characteristics and challenges, I also work with the ways in which ADHD and neurodivergent functioning can affect couple relationships and family dynamics.

I also consider supporting families affected by addiction an important part of my work, particularly in understanding relationship burdens, family roles, boundaries, and the experiences and behavioural patterns of family members and loved ones.

In individual mental health consultations, I support clients experiencing life crises, loss, emotional overload, difficulties with boundaries, or questions related to self-awareness and personal development. My aim is to help clients recognise and strengthen their own resources and find solutions that are meaningful and sustainable for them.

“I’d like to recommend Krisztina Miklós 🙂 A year ago, I was in a very bad way. Thanks to Krisztina, I feel secure again and know that I am an important, valuable person. She is extremely kind, patient and empathetic; she always listened to me during our conversations and is an excellent professional. I am very grateful and owe her a great deal!

“I wholeheartedly recommend Krisztina Miklós to anyone looking for a professional whom you can easily confide in and who really listens to what you have to say. Krisztina is empathetic, patient and sincere, whilst always helping you to see things from a different perspective. I never feel as though she is judging me, and this has helped me enormously in gradually opening up to her more and more. She has helped me a great deal in understanding myself, my feelings and my situations better. I love the fact that she doesn’t try to make decisions for me or give me ready-made answers, but helps me to figure things out for myself. For me, one of the most important things is that I always feel she is really listening to me and is fully present. I am grateful for what she has given me over the past year or so, and I wholeheartedly recommend Krisztina Miklós to anyone looking for an empathetic, reliable and professionally competent practitioner.”
